TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

Ok bloggers,

It's time to say goodbye, this is my last and final entry and I just wanted to wish all of you the best of luck in your future endeavors. I have had a blast these past two years getting to meet students and sharing with them my experiences as being a college student as well as Suffolk. I believe that I have lived the "college experience" through the friendships that I've made, my involvements, and being able to go abroad a Suffolk Madrid. It's a bitter sweet moment because I am thrilled to be graduating as well as a little sad because I've had some really awesome professors and I have had a really positive experience.

So before I go I will of course leave you with some words of wisdom. First off, definitely explore your options, don't settle on a school without first exploring it, go on a tour and invest in learning about the resources that are available. NEVER chose a school just because of the name because that is just a poor decision, it has to be the right fit for you. Lastly, take advantage of all the opportunities that are available, it's up to you to create for yourself that "college experience". Remember, you can party but also realize that you are supposed to be getting a degree at the end of your college experience, so don't lose hindsight of the actual reason of why your in college.

and so peeps,

GOOD LUCK and Make good choices.

PEACE!!!

Almost Done

So last week was the AHANA reception which was pretty fun. It was a good size group on the tour and these were accepted students so they already knew some basics of the school. The reception to follow was awesome and what I mean by awesome is they had GREAT FOOD, each morsel of food was a bite of deliciousness. When you attend events that have receptions to follow it usually means its catered which means great food. I'm pretty sure I stuffed my face to full capacity which was fine because that was my dinner.

So with two weeks left of the semester I am in full mode of getting or attempting to get the work done that I've been putting off. It can be a little overwhelming but I actually don't have a lot, it's just that I've come down with a severe case of Senioritis. I've gotten my tickets for my Senior week trips which I will be going to Mohegan Sun, White Water Rafting, and a Sox game. It's going to be the best time EVER!!!

I'm also waiting on my last school to reply back on whether or not I've been accepted to Springfield College. I am getting to be a Ancy Pancy just because I need to start making decisions. I've also explored the avenue of looking at jobs that deal in the area of admissions. I'm just in ends with what is going on I try to be more focused on the now rather than explore alternatives for the future. I just think that I'm also in a state of fuzz and whateverness.

Other than that tid bit of my life, I am feeling the effects of it being the end of the semester. I'm just more excited for summer because that means nice weather and the BEACH!!!

Peace out!

Motivation...lack there of

I'm just realizing how much work I have left before this semester ends and I haven't really done anything. The weather is starting to get better and all I can think about is the summer and relaxing by the pool catching a tan. Yet my reality is, I still have papers to write, presentations to prepare, and OH YEA life to figure out after graduation.

So tickets for Senior week events went out yesterday and I am pumped for IT!!! I got a ticket for the Red Sox game which I am absolutely pumped that it's now Red Sox season! I also got tickets to Mohegan Sun which I am EXCITED as well as white water rafting. I am pumped for White Water Rafting because I've never been and I just think it will be a great time. I've also been receiving all this information for Commencement which now it's starting to hit me that I'm graduating. I can't wait for Commencement, despite it being a 3 hour ceremony but all that matters is that I'm with my friends and I receive my degree.

Well that's all I have to share for now but have a good week and see ya lata.

PEACE

TWO WEEKS LEFT OF CLASSES...INSANE!!!

So yea,

Two weeks left of classes and about 40 days until graduation that is intense!!! Before the semester ends I still have a lot of work to do and time is running out. I still have papers, take home tests, presentations, and grad school stuff to take care of. I am feeling a tad overwhelmed but I always manage to get it done, the only issue is starting to motivate myself to start.

So yesterday I visited Springfield College for a grad program as well as a fellowship which went very well. The population at Springfield is a little smaller than Suffolk but it's a traditional campus, which was amazing. It helped that it was a beautiful day yesterday because students and staff were taking full advantage of then nice whether by going on walks as well as sitting or playing frisbee out in the quad.

Besides the looks of the campus I was also happy to hear of the resources that Springfield College offers to their grad students. I am applying with in the psychology department and my tour guide was sharing his experiences about being in the that department and it made me feel reassured about my program. He said that professors are excellent and that the resources your receive through your intended program will guide you onto finding a job placement after graduation.

After leaving Springfield college I was very relieved in my decision because I hesitant because I would be leaving the Boston area. Which I absolutely loved attending Suffolk and being in Boston and so I was feeling a little nervous with leaving that sense of familiarity. But I am ready for a change and Springfield seems like that perfect change.

Well that's it for now, Show case for SBS is this Sunday, so hope to see you there and have a good weekend.

PEACE!

Four Weeks Left of the Semester and my College Career

There is only four weeks left of the semester which, also means there is only four weeks left of my college career at Suffolk. I still haven't fully felt the extent of graduation. I am very excited for graduation because I want my degree that I've worked so hard for these past four years.

Unfortunately, I heard back from Northeastern and I ended up being waitlisted. Which doesn't mean a rejection which means I still have a chance. I still haven't heard back from Springfield College which is making me a little anxious because I seriously just wanted to know if I got in or not. This brings be back to applying to schools when I was a Senior in High school, I am just anxious and on the edge of my seat waiting by the mail box for my letters.

Well I have nothing else to really share so keep your fingers crossed on my acceptances and blog you later!!!

Spring Break

I am so happy that it's Spring Break right now, despite the fact that I am not on a beach some where soaking up the sun. I was a little upset that I didn't have any where to go, last Spring Break I went to Puerto Rico and the Break before that I went to North Carolina. So it's kind of a bummer but I am still relaxing which is nice. I'm staying at the dorms for part of the break and then I am going to visit the fam for the last couple of days. It's actually pretty awesome to be the only one on the floor because it's quiet. Being an RA has it's moments in which you are always surrounded by people, so it's nice not having people around all the time.

I'm also becoming very anxious, some of my friends are now and have been getting their acceptance letters from their Grad Schools. I still haven't heard back and I've only applied to two Grad Schools. I thought that I might have limited myself but these are the schools that were of interest to me. I hope to hear back SOOOONNNNN!!!!

Other than that small bit of news nothing else is really going on besides...there being ONLY FIVE WEEKS LEFT OF THE SEMESTER THEN GRADUATION!!!! Well that's it for now, I'll keep you posted.

Peace!!!

IT'S BEEN A MONTH

Well it's been a little over a month since I've last blogged. I've had a lot going on these past couple of weeks. Two weeks ago I had an all day interview at Northeastern for a grad program. I have to admit I got a little lost when I got to the campus but I managed to get myself to the interview. Northeastern's campus is HUGE!! Suffolk has about 6 or 7 buildings but Northeastern has over 30. It was a little overwhelming but I know after a couple of weeks I would be able to adjust.

I am going through a Senioristis epidemic. I am just ready to graduate and begin that next phase of my life. I have found my niche at Suffolk and the past four years have went through a growing phase. My professors have challenged me to expand on what I already know and to constantly learn something different. I've been involved by being an RA, OL, SU101 TA and a Trustee Ambassador. I love Suffolk but I am ready for a new change.

Well I've got to go because I have a Bruins game to go to.

PEACE!!!
